Intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD) is one of the most important causes of ischaemic stroke worldwide. Because ICAD carries one of the highest risks of recurrent stroke, particularly within the first weeks after symptom onset, effective and timely treatment is essential.

When first‑line medication therapy is insufficient, endovascular treatment becomes necessary.

The Acandis® ICAD Treatment System offers an easy‑to‑use, safe and efficient solution, indicated for both elective and acute treatment scenarios. Thanks to its unique design, physicians can perform step‑by‑step PTA and stent implantation without changing catheters, simplifying workflows and saving valuable time.

Game‑Changing in Combination.

The combination of the NeuroSpeed® PTA Balloon Catheter and the CREDO® | CREDO® heal Stent has been specifically engineered to address
the complex anatomical and procedural challenges of ICAD treatment.

The NeuroSpeed® PTA Balloon Catheter enables smooth, controlled PTA as the first step.

If stabilisation is required, the CREDO® | CREDO® heal Stent can be delivered directly through the same NeuroSpeed® PTA Balloon Catheter,
without a catheter exchange.

This unique concept represents the only bailout stenting system indicated for both elective and acute cases, reducing treatment risk through
easy handling and time savings.
