First Pulsatile Tinnitus Workshop
From 13 to 14 May 2026, interventional neuroradiologists gathered at Hôpital Lariboisière in Paris for the first Pulsatile Tinnitus Workshop. The focus was on an in-depth exploration of the diagnosis and management of this often overlooked condition.
Pulsatile tinnitus differs fundamentally from other forms of tinnitus and may indicate treatable underlying causes such as dural arteriovenous fistulas, arterial or venous stenoses, as well as highly vascularised tumours. Accurate diagnosis requires structured clinical approaches and specialised imaging protocols.
At Acandis®, we actively address this challenge with the aim of making a meaningful difference for patients. Alongside our ongoing RESOLVE study, led by coordinating Principal Investigator Professor Emmanuel Houdart, the workshop provided a practical overview of the condition, with a focus on venous causes and endovascular management strategies. Participants praised the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and exchange experience.
